Onto my challenge card! Oh have I had a ball with this digiz from Dewdrop, she's called Snow Fairy and my first thought is obviously blues but I wanted to see how she looked in christmas colours instead and quite pleased with the result.
I'm entering this into the following challenges.
Passion for Promarkers - Poppy red & Forest Green.
Crafty Catz - Buttons or brads (I used brads and a button brad!) I really like this blog, I should come play more often!
Digital Tuesday - Things with wings
Flutterby Wednesday - Butterfly or fairy
Sweet Sunday - Sketch
OK I started with the image and resized to 4" and removed the circles leaving just the snow fairy. I've coloured her in promarkers using the following:
Skin: Ivory, blush, vanilla
Hair & dress: Red, Poppy, blender
Dress, shoes & hairband: Meadow green, Emerald, Forest Green, copic spica clear
Wings: Meadow green, Forest green, blender, copic spica clear
The spica pen really gives it some sparkle, love it!
I distressed the edge of the image using versamagic in aloe vera, oasis green and hint of pesto then overstamped a swirl design (HOTP) in brilliance pearlescent ivy.
For the background I used a small stamp you get in the plate set of butterfly beauties by Tracey Coates for The Stampman and just repeated it to make a panel (pearlescent Ivy)
I then swiped around the card to distress using the same colours as the image panel and went over the card using moonglow pigment powders in Spanish Moss. The word panel is made with a circle stamp and I painted the inside with starburst stains in maidenhair fern green and cathedral pines green.
Thanks for looking and I appreciate your comments x
