3 new Magnolias

First up a new ATC (1 of 2). The background shows up quite nice in the pic, its moonglow starburst stains. Then I've watercoloured the image background using marvy ink & starburst stains and added flowersoft. The Tilda is watercoloured with ranger distress inks.

Next is a very glittery Party Tilda. Everything on it shimmers, the blouse and shoes are coloured with sakura stardust pen in clear. The blue background is starburst stains and its mounted on holographic silver. The letters are brilliance ink in red and I went over the top with stickles glitter glue in stardust :)

With this Tilda I stamped the image out again onto the same paper as the backing paper, cut the blouse out and glued it over the top of the watercoloured image.

Last but not least, the background is cuttlebug and I've run over it with starburst stains. Then I've stamped Tilda onto watercolour paper, masked it and stamped the fence behind. Its watercoloured with ranger distress inks.

Tilda & Co challenge - Beads of Glory

Here's my *ahem* attempt this week

Not too sure about this one! The background is moonglow starburst stains and I made a pouffe out of DCWV pocketful of posies paper and glued on some beads as "studs" I also gave Tilda a bead necklace but I think I've just succeeded in making Tilda look like a chav lol!

New toys!

I went to the Port Sunlight show yesterday and got new toys yay! Sir Stampalot was there with a big range of Magnolias so I got 3 new Tildas and some magnolia accessory stamps, a new cuttlebug embossing folder, some flowers and new distress inkpads. I saw a tutorial on Marlene's blog about colouring using distress inkpads so thought I'd give it a whirl (at 3am when I was up pottering!)

This is one I made for the Opposites attract swap on Crafty Cardmaking, the idea being you use 2 dominant colours that are opposite each other on the colour wheel, I chose Blue & Orange.

Tilda is coloured using distress inkapds in tattered rose for the skin tones, vintage photo for the hair, basket, signpost and boots, peeled paint for the grass, faded jeans for the jeans and spiced marmalade for the top. The grass line is hand drawn and the blue sky I sponged on Moonglow starburst stains in azure sea asters. The card background is cuttlebug then I daubed on starburst stains in glory of the sea gold (which looks yellowy orange) I filled the basket using flowersoft to give some dimension. This one is going to Spain hence the signpost!

Tilda & Friends ATC challenge - Bugs!

Well here's my first go at a blog challenge! Tilda was stamped on watercolour paper then masked and I then stamped the background hills and grass using stampscapes stamps. Its coloured with watercolour pencils and sakura stardust pens. The extra sparkle is made by mixing the water with a tiny bit of pearlex iridescent watercolours. I've added the little dragonflies, which are coloured using sakura stardust pens and stickles glitter glue, and some flowersoft on the grasses for extra dimension.

Seriously GRUMPY!!

I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOO peeved! Less than 2 weeks ago I went shopping and bought 6 magnums, 3 mint choc ice lollies and 3 fruit and nut ice lollies. I havent had ONE of them. Stacey & Boo have had them except a couple of magnums which I dont like so 2 days ago I bought myself 3 Wall's Feasts which are my favs. I had one a couple of days ago and just gone to the freezer to get another as its 50 million degrees outside and oh what a surprise they seem to have evaporated into thin air!!
If anybody sees my feast please let me know! They are depriving poor Molly Moo of her chocolate fix!
*Editted to add that I asked my darling daughter where MY Wall's feasts were, oh yes she had one yesterday and gave her friend one too!!!! Cheeky bint!

Scrapbook LO's

I finally scrapped my fav photo! This is a monotone layout except the swirls and letters are holographic silver and the 3 brads are iridescent. Its also got silver eyelets running down the scallops on the right hand side Its a lot brighter in the flesh, I cant for the life of me get a good photo. I stamped all round the edge of it, it reads "Father and son walk together in harmony, the moment captured forever, fond memories. A magical scene of a unique bond of love and wonder. Bruce and Ethan Kennedy, Lake Bala, March 08"

This layout is one I've done for this weeks challenge on UK Scrappers. Its our teams challenge (Blooming Pages) It was to use a photo of yourself at any stage, use a colour or bloom from our team logo, use seen journalling and use ribbons. The word cherished was traced and cut out of DCWV pocket full of posies paper, various brands of flowers (the more the merrier!) and the photo is a recent one of me and Ethan (with Molly Moo bump) on holiday.
