Just Magnolia 16 - Distressing
The challenge this week at Just Magnolia is distressing, I mean to rough it up a bit its not distressing as in upsetting me you know... :D

Stamp something - Paper pieced
The challenge this week at Stamp Something is paper piecing, I havent done paper piecing for weeks and weeks so had to give this a whirl!
As the manga girl is quite bold I wanted to try a softer look. I've paper pieced the dress, boots and ribbons in her hair with a blue starry patterned paper. The socks and top are a pink marble paper. Edged the image in adirondack shell pink, paper is HOTP

CCC & Friday Sketchers
Just finished this one off for Copic colour challenge 25 who's colours this week are
The image is "Rose" by Victoria Case stamps coloured with copics including the 3 above. I cut out and went over with a versamark pad and clear embossing powder. I used the versamark pen to colour in the rose bit and went over with crystal embossing powder. Papers are HOTP, background pink is bazzil thats been edged with adirondack pink. Flowers are flora doodles I bought from Joanna Sheen.

Victoria Case & Delicious Divas

Image is Sitting Fairy by Victoria Case (isnt she just lush!) I distressed the edges gently this time and edged with blue. I like the effect distressing gives as it looks like it was stamped on linen. She's coloured with copics of course (Thats that Sheilakins fault that is getting me into them!) Background dark bue is bazzil bling and I stamped some swirls in the corners with white stazon. Ribbon was white but I coloured it with distress inks, added a charm and a swarovski crystal. Sticky gems down the bottom are coloured with copics to match too.
NEW CHALLENGE BLOG woo hoo!! In this case it is The Delicious Divas which opened its doors yesterday. I think its a sketch and colour challenge blog, any products can be used :)

DT call card
I've created this card for Bizzy Becs Creatalicious challenges DT call, La La land DT call, Copic Colour Challenges GDT call plus their challenge 24 this week :)

I shall start with Bizzy Becs Creatalicious challenge which is to create an item using their sketch below.La La land is a new stamp company opening its doors on 12th August. You can find them here. Not sure anybody has seen their stamp range yet but hey with a name like la la land its bound to be fun!
Next up is Copic colour challenges GDT call plus their challenge 24 this week which is to use the colours BG02, RV02 & YG03 so I'd best show my card eh!
Background paper is by K&Co (sparkly sweet stack) Thought the green was a bit too plain so I cut out part of one of the other sheets which I thought too loud so together I was happy :) Couldnt for the life of me find the *right* paper to use as matting behind the main image so I made my own with adirondack shell pink and distress ink in shabby shutters overstamped with a leaf design using versamagic aloe vera.
Main image is a digital stamp by Victoria Case called Tara. I printed extra flowers out to use too. Also hiding amongst the flowers is Willy the worm also from VC stamps.
They are coloured with copics using RV02, RV21 & RV06 for the dress and flowers; B12 & B93 for the blue bits; V12 & V04 for the other flowers; YG03, YG63 and G07 for the leaves and green bits :D Hair is E51 & E33; Face is E00, E51, E21 & E02 for the cheeks.
I distressed the matting and the main image with a pair of scissors then rubbed adirondack shell pink using a piece of cut n dry foam into the image and around the edge.
Swirly bits are naked chipboard by maya road coloured with versamagic aloe vera and then added 3 blue jewel brads. Highlights and glitter wings are sakura stardust clear and souffle white.
