Crafty Cardmakers #23 Mens cards!

Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek!!! Its Man Card time over at Crafty Cardmakers! You know how much I just luuuuuurve man cards (NOT!) hehehe!

I'm rather late posting this week, had soooo much I've needed to do, my schedule is all squiffy and my youngest DD is driving me round the bend! My eldest DD has flown off to Crete for her first holiday without us old duffers so hope she has a good time! She's learnt not to have ice in her drink lol!

Our Special guest over at Crafty Cardmakers is Sandy Hulsart who has a wonderful stampscapes & photoscapes blog here

I was extremely short on time to make my card this week (uploaded 8 minutes before live!) so this was a really quick make using an alcohol inked background I saw on Sandy's blog and thought That'll do!

I applied alcohol inks with a stiple brush and blending solution, dropped a few droplets of ink on, dropped more drops of solution on and gave it a spray with iridescent gold glimmer mist (Well I have to have sparkle dont I!!)

Stamped the mountains and cove, oak tree branch and man in boat and used brilliance ink around the edge to make a spotlight. Its all done on linen card for a textured effect. I've also spread paper glaze on the water bit.

10 minute make (which is totally unheard of from me!) and I've no mans birthdays for a while ha!

An Award and some cards!

I got an award off my good friend Loopy aka Rachel for being an inspiring crafter, thank You Rachel and what a gorgeous looking one it is too!

I gotta show you this card by Sheilakins. She used copic markers to colour it in and coloured the gems and ribbon to match. I recognised the crafter as soon as I saw it, very distinct style has Sheilakins and her work is always top notch

And I managed to make one too! This is for a Noobie swap on our yahoo group. One of the noobies let us down so I step in and replace it so her partner isn't let down. Its a nice and quick one, I stamped on a background of alcohol inks and gold krylon pen, mounted it on white and then another layer of alcohol ink then onto white card. Stamped a HOTP swirl at the bottom in versamagic and added some sticky gems - voila!
