No posts for a week then 2 in one night! I have been around but just working on behind the scenes stuff and organising my very confused design team over at Crafty Cardmakers with all the new features coming in. I understand it all but I think I've confused the hell outta them hehe! I shall try to explain...
Crafty Cardmakers blog is now weekly....with a difference! We have our regular fortnightly challenge on one Monday and the following Monday we are having a spotlight challenge (unsponsored but we may have candy from time to time)
The spotlight challenge will look at a style, technique or product and part of the team will make examples of whatever we are spotlighting *but* we will also be following the challenge from the week before so that the whole team gets to do it. If you wanted to enter you may also choose to do the spotlight AND regular challenge as we do in which case you can enter your creation in both or you can just do the spotlight.
For example this weeks challenge is a photo inspiration and next weeks spotlight is easel cards. We've made easel cards using the photo as our inspration so if you did that you can enter in both or you can just make an easel of your own choice and enter it in the spotlight. Its just the same as combining challenges :)
Anyhow also coming up this week is The Stampman's challenge blog whoop!! That starts at 12 noon (GMT) on Friday with an Anything goes theme so I hope to see you all popping in! I get the honour of the first challenge - probably because I mithered Jill enough to do them hehe!
Now onto what I messed with today! I spotted a monotone challenge I really fancied playing on and started to do the butterfly keeper again but will leave that for another time seeing as it was the last one I blogged! I instead chose this stamp by Lisa Victoria which you can get at Crafts & Me. I've wanted it for aaaaaages!
I've coloured with promarkers and cut out with nesties labels 11. The flower I used a glue pen and glamour dust, thw wings and eyes Ive used 3d gloss and edged around with chipped sapphire distress ink. The background I made by swiping aqua alcohol ink over pearl white card, dropping blending solution on and alternating between that and some dark blue pinata ink to get the puddled effect. Flowers are from wild orchid who have also started their very own challenge blog! I've sprayed the whole card with pearl glimmer mist. Embossed sentiment is from Stamping All Day (I luuurve their ickle text stamps)
